Evolution


With feet pressed to stone
diversity can’t
penetrate immobile.

Moving forward doesn’t
have to be a ballet of opposition.
Change is renewable energy.

If the dance is choreographed
with open arms, young and old
have a voice in its direction.

have to be a ballet of opposition." I like your allegory, the dance to progress.
I'm not opposed to our status quo, or what's left of it, and gliding forward from there. Seems in some areas our step is backwards more than forward.

That is one thing that humans excel at and that is expressing their emotions in music and dance...later on they came to write poetry and we all know how good that is!
