The Singular Voyage of Despondency

On the outskirts of every agony sits
some observant fellow who points.” Virginia Woolf

Grief is not a thing to climb over.
It’s a heart crawling through shadows searching for sunlight.

It is a harsh assumption sorrow
has a generic course or allotted days to wane.

When one breaks in a thousand pieces
there’s a sea of horizons the spirit has to sail.

These are absolutely splendid, Susie!!❤️ I am in awe of the poignancy of them especially; "When one breaks in a thousand pieces there’s a sea of horizons the spirit has to sail." Thank you so much for writing to my final prompt!🌹😍

I love how you used this to write short poems turning into aphorisms

All good; but that 2nd line of the 1st couplet is mind-numbingly good. Well done, SC!
