Traveling Alone

I packed all I was
into your baggage
until I decided
it was better
to travel alone.

When one travels alone they don't have to carry the other's baggage. Easier perhaps but bittersweet.

Amen. Which doesn't mean you can't sit together and store the baggage side by side.

My motto is "don't stay where you aren't comfy."

Your poem reminded me of our river boat cruise trip down the Yangtze (China). Some of the dining room wait staff were very small and sort of young. I would say that I'd like to put two into my suitcase.

Bam...that's a dirt clod with a rock in it upside the head. That one definitely had a point...sharpened with experience.

Momentous decision yes! It can be most rewarding! Nicely Susie!

Smart, succinct, and with a kind of elegance that comes from being sure of oneself and sure in oneself. Nicely done.

Right now your poem makes me laugh, because we're packing for another of my husband's adventures, this one for his 70th birthday. Almost every piece of clothing he puts into his suitcase has to be brought to me, for my opinion, and if he doesn't like my opinion...well, you can imagine...
