Question the Leap

Leap of love,
why does it
sound like death?

I don’t want
to give up
being me
to be funneled
into your conception.

Walk beside me.
My feet refuse
the command
to follow.

The challenge was to write to the photo prompt using exactly 33 words.

Ahhh, lovely. I remember the days of being consumed before learning how to be equal...an individual. Really beautiful writing.

My grandmother always said, "You can talk me into anything but you can't tell me to do anything." Human nature.

Love is all about cooperation and meeting in the middle. This portrays that wisdom wonderfully.

Perfect description of love and yes, it should be questioned. Everyone believes that love makes two people into one whole. I'd rather believe it's two individuals who share a life, not one entity. (Hugs)Indigo
