Summer Weeps

Warm days huddle on the calendar gathering their strength
as summer weeps that it must say goodbye.
Ribbon water curls in blue question marks
asking autumn its time of arrival.
An exodus of feathered wings
waits for the call
to take flight
towards the
sun.

I love the shape of these words - the migratory V-shaped skein of geese has been realized so well, and summer weeping to see them go.
Well put!!! Have a grand day! Cathy

lovely. the concrete style adds a layer - as though we're looking at the landscape, appealing to the seasons, with birdlike familiarity, from the perspective of the flock.
