Our Side of Heaven


I want to lie with you
on our side of heaven,
drifting among clouds
of secrets spoken in kisses.
A place where the sun
shines from your smile
and rain falls
in laughter teardrops.
I wish to feel the thunder
of your heart beating against mine
when passion’s storm engulfs us.
Our side of heaven is you and I
wrapped in love’s arms
in tender moments of seclusion.
