Mother You Are A Stranger

Mother what happened
To your laughter
I remember your smile
The lullaby you sang
As you brushed my hair

You are now a stranger
Bitter and remote
The song gone
From your voice

Your eyes search
Somewhere far away
Come back to me
It is cold here
Without your love
