Tiny House

The tiny house
holds my heart,
memories echo
through the dust..

Life was hard.
Life was sweet.
Life tore you apart.
Life built you up.

Beginnings and endings,
first steps and last,
smells of baking bread,
the aroma of decay

Giggles chasing
through the rooms,
tears flowing
down cheeks

Saying hello
and now goodbye,
I must walk away,
but I will never forget.

Glad you linked this post. It reminds me of the houses I've left behind.

THIS is my favorite one of your's yet! The memories, the nostalgia, the heart... all reminds me of my home growing up in Ohio. It too was just a little house but held such big things that I will never forget. This resonates with me and I am certain it will for so many others as we all have that little house we remember, you should share this more! I adore this piece more than you know! My favorite by you so far!

Kellie, it was so hard to say goodbye to that house. I knew so much joy and so much pain. I walked the three acres the last day I was there watering it with my tears. The grief that my mom and dad and that tiny place were all gone broke me into a thousand pieces. Charlie was so worried about me.
