Dark Death In The Sea

Greed had dug deep in the ocean
Hell rising up from the depths
Nothing can stop the flow
Lies spreading faster than the oil
As dark death kills as it spreads

People wailing in the bayou
Black oil is covering all that lives
Voodoo chants speaking spells
To conjure up the spirits
To save the precious swamp

Fishermen stare at empty nets
Their livelihood robbed
Answers becoming harder
To find than the most elusive
Fish they ever set out to catch

No one knows the final outcome
There is no crystal ball
Just an uneasy feeling
Of fear at what will
Be man’s next epic mistake
