Reckless

A black cat moon
climbs the garden fence
stalking romantic prey
who steal kisses from starlight.

Faces flushed with thoughts
between temptation and sin
shine like ethereal orbs
against the sapphire backdrop
of 1:00 a.m.’s curtain.

Between moon and shaded windows
flirtation feels bold enough to believe
dawn doesn’t have a key to secrets.
