Twins of the Thorn

We travel in fairy tales
where flowers speak
and bears sing lullabies.

At dream’s peak where twilight
pulls wool over bright eyes
we stand tiptoe on the moon
planting wishes among stars.

Pale rose and thorn’s blood
dance through sleeping ears
leaving whispers morning
will translate as insanity.

You had me at the first line where flowers speak and planting wishes among stars! A brilliant magic flows in your poetry Susie and it inspires!!

Magical indeed. I would love to hear a bear sing lullabies. This poem is pure beauty, Susie.

Too crazy to be real, has to be dreaming or insanity. I liked reading this, more exciting and weird as I went along.

The opening lines immediately invite the reader to travel into fairy tale. I do enjoy a fairy tale and yours is wonderful.

Sounds like pretty agreeable insanity, if it is!

I hope you are having a lovely holiday weekend, Susie!

Ah, yes. It all seems so clear while we are dreaming. Do I have to wake up?

I love the thought of twilight pulling the wool over bright eyes" and standing "tiptoe on the moon to plant wishes among the stars". For a laundry goddess, you have quite a way with words!

A powerful piece, that both bursts through and holds up the myths we dream with.
The start of this poem pulled me right in. Love this!
