Wild Green

I want to lie down
among the fern
where moss thrives
and defiant light
slips through selfish
oak leaves feeding
on the sun …
Let the wild green
nourish my spirit with resilience.

We need that wild green right now.....staying indoors, I do miss it. But it is good to know it is there.

This is stunning in every sense of the word, Susie!!💝💝
Never thought of oak leaves as selfish before this. Wonderful imagery!
Gorgeous! And may it be so.

I can smell the undergrowth in this poem, Susie, wild green and thriving.

I so often want to lie in deep grass or on a mossy bank or ferny bower. Love this so much.
