Enter April

April, you place an umbrella in my hand,
a dance in my shoes, and watercolor tulips
to break the monochrome spell of winter.

Bless your days of sprouting green,
and raindrops urging me to blossom.

I could see you dancing with Gene Kelly, Susie! No more black and white – only Technicolor from now on. ;)
What a delight! And of course I especially love your insouciant last line.
