Wind wing and Sorrow

Wind wing and sorrow
ruffle my mind with memories,
little caresses to remind me
tears come for a season,
but laughter patiently
waits in the corner of my eye.

Even the darkest night
must kneel at the throne of stars.

That final couplet says it all, brews all the hope. And what Helen said.

I love your IG presentation, but mostly the laughter in the corner of an eye.

A perfect little poem that says so much, Susie. These three lines I couldn't separzte,
little caresses to remind me
tears come for a season,
but laughter patiently

They are (my) earth shattering. We many be missing Mary O.

I love the ‘w’ sounds in ‘Wind wing and sorrow’, fluttering and taking off like birds! And those final lines!

I want to frame that last couplet and hang it up on a wall so that I always remember this. Absolute perfection.

That's such a great sentiment, and you've expressed it beautifully. Compact, powerful, fresh!
