Saying More With Less

a sky full of butterflies
small winged crayons
erasing gray from clouds
 ~~~
a drop of blood
sacrificed to a thorn
bonds me to a rose
 ~~~
each poem I write
spills from my fingertips
until I reach silence
 ~~~
the pause
between words
is where truth pools
great little gems here, and my favourite is the last one. leaves the reader to pause at the words too, to ponder if one should agree with the poet.
i like short verses, because i find it a challenge to write them. the imagery may not be as detailed as a longer poem, but the impact that it can deliver with so little words can leave the reader surprised.
thank you for the visit to my blog. :)
