In The Chaos

I rake the stony ground
of perfection with my faults
trying to rid myself of
dandelions seeding never
on the tip of my tongue.

In the chaos that’s me
I walk crooked lines;
dream bigger than my reach;
wear yellow when sorrow
arrives in its black cape.

There is so much bother
in flawless…Each moment
spent tying knots in impractical
robs daylight of tranquility.

I won’t worry myself into a corner
to live on frowns and snappish words.
I will live, laugh, love, and thrive on imperfection.

It is often surprising what introspection will reveal of one's state of well-being at any given time. I especially like the images in second stanza. A thought-provoking poem.

One can try to have perfection.
But can still live with one's imperfections as long as they are tolerable.Great word craft Susie

Much love...
So true! I totally agree with you. I would prefer to be real and imperfect than painfully perfect. Beautiful poem :)
