Borrowed Dress Wedding

A borrowed dress wedding
turned an August night
into forty five years.

We beat the odds every time
life bet against gold bands.

Love might sound pretty
in a bed of roses, but dandelions
can grow when the path is full of stones.

Amazing...I love the opening and the odds, too...expressed well in your closing. Beautiful, Susie!
Marriage is the great adventure, and the dandelions can be just as beautiful as the roses, as well as hardier and more useful!

Fantastic. I love the hardiness of dandelions and the pluck and love it takes to rock it for 45 years.
