September And The Moon

I want to hold hands
with September
and the moon
blooming in the sea.

For a few moments
life has been silenced
by splashing waves.

I don’t have to breathe
hectic, or sacrifice peace
to the rumble of traffic.

Night rocks me in its cradle
of misted stars until I forget
tears wait on my eyelids.

I am alone with September
blushing my skin with dreams,
the moon, and secrets.

Beautiful - I find early fall nights rather magical and peaceful too.

The moon is a welcomed friend when autumn comes. To me the moon is very much a part of this time of the year too.

There's nothing quite like an autumn night. Somehow I'm more at peace with being alone at this time of year. Somehow in the spring and summer it seems more lonely, more like I'm a failure for being a loner.
