Optic Tweets

I am glassy eyed midnight
watching insomnia
waterboarding slumber.

I prefer less
worst case scenario
with my eye prescription…

I am all wide eyed and blind.
Do those drops predict my future?

Mama Zen at Real Toads has us tweeting poetry. I had a trip to the eye doctor today so  (eye) was inspired by it.

I'm due for my check up apparently the last one was in 2011...glad for it either way I need new glasses these have had it.

Any way...your twitter poems are clever...I love what you did with the first one especially...the idea of surfing on the edge of sleep. :)

Waterboarding slumber!?

My eyes are a-changing. I just went in a few months ago… I think I need to go back. This "aging" thing is nutty.

Now you've got me. I'm seeing my ophthalmologist this week and I'll be thinking about you.
Elsewhere, things are not looking up, and I'm afraid to phone for details today. Thanks for being there, my friend.
