Bloom of Flashbacks

Dark walnut skin
and a moon split smile
bring Jamaica back to me.

Time stamped in my memory
are moments of joy filled
with the music of your voice.

You are mist filled mountains
in a tropical world so foreign
to the concrete dust I breathe.

Untethered from my electronic world
my thoughts walk with you
on flower lined paths of peace.

We are forgotten names blooming
in a photo album of flashbacks…
reunited when sunlight turns its pages.

So lovely! This brought back memories of my trip to Jamaica when my hubby and I were just engaged - so many eons ago now. It was an amazing time. :)

the first graph was so rich and luxurious, and the sunshine brought it all together in the end so warmly.

going unplugged - and leafing thru a photo album - both relics of an earlier age, yes? ~

Ahhhh Jamaica....I met some really neat people in Jamaica as well, plus it was the place I proposed to my wife who had slipped and fallen the day before and she had two black eyes!!! this is stunning and feels like Jamaica. I had such at odd feelings while driving though the countryside to our destination, but overall a really good trip. Great job Susie and thanks for writing for the prompt.
