Summer's Stained Glass

Connected to the divine,
flowers move in a wind dance
raising petals in praise
for the season of blooming.

Anointed with beauty
their graceful movement
testifies the glory of color
in their garden temple.

Caught in summer’s stained glass
blossoms grace sunlit days,
wooing eyes to celebrate the gift of escape
for vision harried by worry’s intrusion.

Your first stanza reeled me right in, with the flowers moving in their "wind dance...in praise for the season of blooming." Very lovely.

Wonderful and magical though I can't get the thought of Dandilions out of my mind as they blow in the breeze

Flowers definitely do have a soothing effect of human consciousness. I love your title and the way you brought that image into the lines of the poem.
Flowers as stained glass of summer- beautiful.

A sighing sense of relief and escape in the garden, and that connection to something larger that nature always brings. Enjoyed it, Susie.

A lovely read, Susie, but I particularly like your phrases "connected to the divine" and "anointed with beauty". They add depth and fondness.
