Cable Stitched Lunacy

I am cable stitched
into my lunacy
staring at the shocked
assumptions I should
care what others
think of my idiosyncrasies.

I find no reason to divide
myself into little pieces
of involuntary acceptance.

Like me for who I am
or write my name on
your judgment card.
Either way I will remain
who I am while you blandly
procreate boredom.

Susie Clevenger 2013

I needed to vent. :)

Some days we just have to ignore what others think of our idiosyncrasies ~ Hope your day and week becomes better ~

One of the gifts of experience and years is that (just like mom said) eventually it doesn't matter what they think! Knit on!

I love this! That phrase "procreate boredom" is just awesome.

Now that is how you open a poem! Not the rest is a letdown, mind you...

Who are you if not yourself? Wish I could vent with the same elegance as you, Susie. Mine is more like a hit-and-run :D

Cheers!

Amen! I soo love the whole bold thought and will drink to it many times over :D ! Love the scornful 'write my name on your judgement card' and the firmly rebellious 'i'll remain who i am while you procreate boredom' :) Wonderful work!
Susie, you are so together on this. I take thee at thy word! To hell with people who put you down for your gender or opinion or level of education *I barely finished high school* or whatever.

When someone points their finger at somebody else, they point three fingers directly back at themselves. So there! Brill, Susie. Amy

Wonderful venting, Susie. I love it. And who cares what they think, anyway? You rock.

Well, I do like you, but I am also procreating quite a bit of boredom lately...lol. I love the spirit here Susie, and judging from the small amount I know about you....I really do think this is you. Love it!
