An Epitaph in Green

Green moss
decorates the
wings of a stone angel.
An epitaph now covered in
new life.

Spring’s Faux Pas
  
Winter
froze the tulips.
Spring hadn’t asked permission
to paint the black and white landscape
reborn.

oh, i love these, Susie! you know, i love when cinquains result in a single sentence, like your first one. wonderful! and the second one is like a photograph that i can see quite clearly. and argh, the third! didn't the groundhog NOT see its shadow yesterday?

I really enjoyed all three. I too like the complete sentence of the first one. I like the irony of the second. And the almost sassiness of the third. Well done Susie :-)

Very pretty - I think I like the angel best as it is such a cool thing to see. (I like it mainly because I just love seeing this angels with moss and bromeliads.) k.
