Silence Is



Silence is the voice
that reaffirms
who you are
when noise
badgers with
who it wishes
you to be.

mmmmmmmmmmmm

Silence is the music of peace
sung in harmony with your spirit.

mmmmmmmmmmmm

Silence is a poet
sitting in the dark
praying inspiration
will turn the light on.

mmmmmmmmmmmm

Silence is the inhaling of hope
when hopeless sends its
drowning waves.

Silence is a door, for sure, and every image in this poem is a beautiful bead in a necklace. I like the image of it being a poet--though I think it is a tool to bring a greater poet to us.

I couldn't agree with you any more on the fact that silence is needed for inspiration some days. I personally enjoy having music on in the background to spark my creativity, but I only listen to specific tunes that will inspire me. Classical music for instance.
