Chasing Thoughts

My days are spent
chasing thoughts
with pen and paper
to capture them
before they are lost
in the shape shifting
world of my brain.

she challenged us to tell about
our own little world we live in.
But the catch was it must be
in thirty five words or less.

Hiya Susie,
This flows so beautifully.
I'm glad we get to do this once a month from now on.

Super clever to form these words into a cat....the poem itself moves like a cat too!! Well done, Susie!! So glad to see you!!

So nice to see you out and about in the blogosphere, kiddo. Love your poem. Also love the idea of brain as shape shifter, a much better view than early Alzheimers, which I worry about. I will now just tell my sister my brain is shape-shifting!

I like the shape shifting. And I'm like this, too, when I have an idea, I usually have to get it down on paper fairly soon, or lose it. Nice to see you back!

You are the cat, the cat is your poem jar, shift again and it's indeed your brain stimulated by the chase to catch before they are lost. (27 words)

This is very good a description of catching an idea of our own. High Energy.
