Umbrella Sunshine

She walks in the rain
listening to others complain
as they make their dash
under lightening’s flash
that the day is so dreary
and how they grow weary
of endless days without sun.

She thinks oh how silly
their moods are so chilly
when yesterday they complained
of too many days without rain.
She is not amused
to have her ears so abused
by those who just wish to grumble.

For her the day is just grand
because of the sunshine in her hand,
a yellow umbrella with wings
that makes her heart sing.
Under it the sky is brighter
and her footsteps much lighter
as she walks with praise instead of complaint.

I love this one, Susie! It has such a sing-song flow to it, and of course, I love the positive, happy message! Awesome write!

Absolutely and positively loved it!! I was just talking to my best friend about this today. I've heard so many people complain lately and about everything and anything. I finally reminded a few of them that unlike others they have a roof over their heads, warm food in their bellies, clothes to wear and two good arms and legs to take them wherever they want to go.
I would love to hear people walk or run past me thanking God for what they have. Thank you so much for sharing. Be blessed!
