Golden Retreat

the autumn princess
captures summer’s last sunlight
to guide the monarch

their golden retreat
from the chill of shorter days
breath taking beauty

Susie, thanks for the visit to my blog...

You write amazing haikus, and poetry per se. I love this one with the Monarch - beautifully woven imagery!

Oh I love fairies! The monarch must be enjoying some fairy dust. Charming haiku.

oh suzie,

i love love love your haiku! you have spoken with such tenderness and care for the migration of the monarch. i too am smitten with the these beauties. my butterfly weeds, the host plant for monarchs, are laying down deep tap roots and i am hopeful their swath will thrive to provide a stronger habitat for these eye dazzlers!

thank you for being here!

What a beautiful haiku! I adore butterflies, although we do not get Monarchs in our area. Thanks for sharing!
