Surgery of Deception

A surgeon, what else
could I name you?
You took a scalpel
to my thoughts
and removed
inspiration from me.

Harmless discussions
of creativity became
an operating room
where you anesthetized
my dreams with deception
to steal my words
and publish them
as your own.

Betrayal has left its
open wounds.
There is no thread
of trust to stitch
my incision.
Your deceit has left me silent,
no longer wanting
to share my dreams.
