footprints on snow
impressions for a moment
then melted by a new memory

(The footprints were left by my father
who died two days after leaving them.)

Heartbreaking isn't it. Just like their smell still on the things they'd worn.
Oh, wow, Susie. This is so special. An awesome tribute!
