Winter walks
in its icicle boots
through the
gray morning
leaving tufted
snow footprints.
Hot chocolate
smiles
decorate
frosted glass
as children
peer out windows.
The brown
grass of yesterday
hides under
piles of snowflakes,
their glitter
blinding the eye.
First snow a
celebration,
voices cry, “Come
see,
Mother Nature
is dressed in white!”
