My Poetry My Voice

My poetry, my voice,
the words pour
from the universe
inside of me.

Imagination twinkles
in an alphabet sky
where I can reach out
with my heart to
gather the letters
to speak what my
dreams whisper.

Every poem that
I have written
and those yet unwritten
travel inspiration’s milky way
in my soul.

The child born a poet
and the woman who
will one day meet death
join in spirit in this world within.
United we speak through ink and pen.
We are my poetry, my voice.

Hello,

I love the alphabet sky, what a great image as you reach out to select the letters to form the words.. scrabble with the stars..

I like it all, Susie, lovely ~~ We put it together so it flows with what we know. What we don't know and don't, won't,or can't figure out we punt in football terms. In poetic terms, we take poetic liberty.

No one cares those mechanics, readers want it to be us and our perception that will end up on the paper, the tube, the text, for them.

Your lines:
"United we speak through ink and pen.
We are my poetry, my voice

are the summation. For me I would add to "we speak through ink and pen" and computer screen because I compose on my computer.
..
love the idea of imagination twinkling in alphabet sky.

I love how the poetic team that is you, has such a wide range to draw inspiration from, an interior universe to an exterior alphabet sky !! Lovely piece !!

The final stanza is such an excellent summation of the poet's art and inspiration.

Exactly Susie! We communicate with words and that represent our inner feelings instead of our voice! Nicely!

It's humbling to revisit my beginnings. Sometimes I smile and sometimes I cringe. All in all though I still love the journey.

Thanks for taking back to your earlier work.

I floated through your beautiful writing. You described what I feel when I write too...that flow. Alphabet sky is a wonderful phrase that brings such lovely images to mind. Enjoyed this very much!

Living poetry indeed and I love the way you portray these different parts of self...they do meet there behind the sky to choose the words they want to express what's needed in each moment...this made me think about something I've been thinking subconsciously thank you, Susie!
