At A Pinnacle

I am not at an age when
Things are ending
But I am at a pinnacle
Where I am just
Beginning to live

My gathered years have lain
A foundation to allow me
To continue to dream

Imagination does not stop
Just because birthdays have been
Torn from a calendar

From my vantage point
I can see my field of mistakes
So going forward means
The land mines of error
Have been cleared
