I have all the letters of the alphabet
Yet I can not find the words
Lips move to speak, but nothing is said
Hands holding a pen can not write

How can I tell you I love you
I fear your rejection
Love’s declaration once spoken
Pleads for an answer in return

Oh my heart did not listen as I tried
To not fall in love with you
All my reasons why it should not be
Were drowned in pools of growing affection

Awash in this emotion I fear for my sanity
There is nothing else for me to do
But simply state that which floods my soul
