Hold Me Tighter Than Memories

Dance me to the center of your heart
where I can see moonlight in crimson.

Hold me tighter than memories,
and together we’ll choreograph
joy into the shadows.

We are scars tied in a lover’s knot
growing starlight in our palms.

Yesterday can no longer chase us
when we’re breathing soul to soul.

Lovely loving poem, Susie.
"There's only today" -- I think it will sing.
Whimsical? I think so.

That is close! However I do remember that when I found the right one the world was just the two of us orbiting around mindless of everyone else.

Heartfelt and gorgeous, Susie, especially:
'Hold me tighter than memories,
and together we’ll choreograph
joy into the shadows'
and
'We are scars tied in a lover’s knot
growing starlight in our palms'.

You had me at the title. Wow. Just wow... and yes.
The first line reminds me of a Leonard Cohen song - the rest is spot on.

chases should be "chase"?

from "moonlight in crimson" to "scars tied in a lover's knot"

Your imagination is on a roll! (I also adore the photograph - what gorgeous people. Are they old movie time actors? i don't recognize them.
