A proper poetry book out!
What an achievement.
And you can put together a sound plus images video.
Sigh. I have tried, and tried. Don't have the patience.
You present Autumn as grieving over its own demise. Never thought of it like that. Nice lines.
I like the painting of autumn in grief and sonnets resting in peace ~
Lovely share Susie ~
Beautiful, Susie. I especially like "autumn is grieving". Yes, it is.
Beautiful haiku set. I loved the final line of each verse:
final breath
sonnets rest in peace
autumn grieving
that last line was simply awesome!
really lovely set--and congrats on your book!!!!!
"death falls from brown limbs
crying tears of burnt umber
autumn is grieving"...beautiful...autumn is crying by the tub-full this afternoon.
O. This music, this poem! Rest. I have never thought of fall as tears and mourning, but this poem reminds me how much mourning is also natural. Here it seems autumn's colors and creations--the leaves--are the verses and sonnets lying dead. But they are also the mulch/health of next year's creativity. For the first time I know what "rest in peace" means.
Thank you!
Haiku are harder for me to write than any other form. I so admire your ability to distill your thoughts and images this way.
very nice progression
thanks for the visit
hope that you are enjoying autumn
How good is that last one, my fave for sure although all of them are beautiful and so full of color. Great stuff Susie.
Lovely trio full of the colours of autumn...
..tears of burnt umber...
beautiful, moody autumnal images.
These are all so beautiful Susie! Especially the last one.
Stunning...the death of the leaves so resonates with me...this was
beautiful and haunting~
