Pen and Ink

I rise with the moon.
Goddess formed from
star reflection, I drink
eternity from a twilight cup.

I know how gravel feels
beneath my own shoes,
but the stones you walk
are not my agony.

Ink stained fingers
carved out a thousand words
to tell a story that pinched
my heart into dried blood.

I had forgotten about ink stained hands. I love the crunch of the gravel. It vibrates so much cleaner than the dirt.

I love the images and these lines especially, Susie:
'Ink stained fingers
carved out a thousand words
to tell a story that pinched
my heart into dried blood'.

The emotions in each set are so raw and tangible! Especially touched by; "to tell a story that pinched my heart into dried blood."
Love this! especially "Ink stained fingers
carved out a thousand words"

These are all gorgeous, but this is my very favorite part:

"Goddess formed from
star reflection, I drink"

Love everything about this--the presentation, the way they play with each other. Most of all, I love the last lines of the middle piece (the poem I will publish on Saturday, for the mini-challenge, will show why... It feels that we've been dancing to similar music). :-)
