Bold Ass ~ #NaPoWriMo 2017

I am a bold ass,
the comedian of April
digging through words
thinking poetry can be cajoled
to dance with ink and thought.

Mystery drops breadcrumbs
and I pretend I am deep enough
to find my way to meaning.

It will be a long month of first days
until April can rest in May’s blooms.

Well said, Susie. I think the effort is more about commitment to an ideal than anything else.. but in my experience, it does give rise to some surprising gems that may not otherwise have been written.

Couldn't agree more, but I love the concept of a month of first days--good luck Susie and thanks for this very motivating and skillful piece.

Delightfully said – even though I can't picture you thus.

Way to will your pen. I feel the pressure of forcing poetry in April too. Are we all fools?

I think that if you never start on a journey you will be still....

I smiled at the "pretend that I am deep enough"....oh, you are, kiddo!

Loved this crown, this crowiing fool of April tunes! Your constructions are compact and the whole leaps with expectation. Your craft continues to grow and shine.

A month of first days offers up equal amounts of hope and fear. Here we go.

I have planned massive parties. But once they start, this (your words) is the way it is.

Love the first stanza, Susie, in many ways, I totally agree, with it, but would change it, to reflect the entire year, but that's just me. :)
