The Nectar In Caffeine

Precious bee, while
I stifle yawns, you secret
your sting in the morning glory.

For you sunrise is the time
of drinking nectar, buzzing wings,
and the industry of honey.

The only garden I tend
are the flowers on my coffee cup.

It will take a lot more caffeine before I attempt sweet.

Love it, Susie. My flower is a Texas Bluebonnet on the side of my coffee cup also. I think I missed putting that on my post. :)

Lovely........I read something cool on a greeting card the other day - "Hope is the bee who makes honey when there arent any flowers." Cool, hey?

There is something so perfect in thinking of a garden in the bottom of your cup... like creating poetry more or less.
That's lovely! And may the bees long continue, so that we may have our gardens and our coffee ... and everything else.

I love the second stanza ... and "secret" as a verb. Beautiful work!

So cute! I especially love "secret," which suggests "secrete" but isn't.
More coffee, please!
