Weed

Toril "Wisdom of the Seeds" 24 x 36

I am more weed
than adored blossom
nurtured by a pedigree
of established roots.

My dandelion heart
finds home in the windswept
possibility of unknown.

With eyes to the sky
and ear to earth I gather
wisdom from seeds that
find a path to bloom
whether planted in drought
or abundance of rain.

Love the concept of the dandelion heart is really nice. The short mid stanza really works like an anchor around the lyrics for me.

Lovely poem and an interesting photo.

As long as we keep our eyes and ears open we will gather wisdom. Wonderful thoughts.

Best wishes

I identify with the dandelion heart and love that wisdom can be gathered from seeds no matter where they're planted.
