Butterfly Strength

A butterfly
is our cliché
on wings.
We burden
its flight with
regurgitated
words of
insipid
nonsense.

If only we
had its
strength.
The fragile
butterfly
can weather
a thunderstorm
to reach
the rose
at rainbow’s end.

Tough talk, girly. But the butterfly deserves championing! :-)

Your poems are rather womanly.

It's true; most of what gets said about butterflies, especially by poets is pretty moth-eaten.
