Tiny Acorn @NWCreativeUnion #WWUC

For the Wednesday Wake-Up Call Joanne Young Elliot asked us to go outside and pay attention with all our senses to the environment we found ourselves in. I stepped out my front door to see acorns scattered across the lawn. I stooped down to pick one up in my hand and it was as if it wrote this poem in my palm. It was a beautiful moment of being joined with nature. The acorns I had grumbled about yesterday became a thing of wonder and beauty. I looked up at the tree that dropped them to say thank you. Too often I find too much to complain about. Nature was telling me I should spend more time reciting joy.

Susie...love that you got out there and turned "nuisance" to "miracle". That's what happens when we pause and really consider...much of what offends our senses could easily be corrected if we take the time to really consider...love the work, the image and the wonderful piece of inspiration you shared.

What a wonderfully soul-stirring post. LOVE your beautiful poem and photo, so artistically presented - art cards!!!! And the gorgeous Buddhist chants....plus your comments after. Gobbled it all up. Just wonderful! I think I may have to order the cd!

Gosh. I will see the acorns anew. I knew this, but you put words and art to it and I thank you!

I guess those acorns amassing in my driveway and rolling atop my car when I leave to go anywhere aren't that bad after all... = )
This is beautiful...as I've already told you on FB. And I love the add of the Buddhist chants. It's a wonderful gathering of creativity and inspiration. Makes me want to step outside and observe. That was my idea wasn't it. Guess I should take my own direction. lol!
