Kicked Back in Rewind

“We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams.”
Arthur William Edward O’ Shaughnessy

There are songs that get into your soul
curling their notes around you,
binding you to the melody
thumping your heart with the rhythm,
stamping memories in your brain.

The first note and you recognize it.
Time evaporates and you are transported
to the connection, the faces, the moment
the song became important.

You kick back in rewind singing to the music
and reliving your glory days.
For a flash you are young again
living as fast as you can.

SUSIE!!! LOVE you! lol FAVORITE tune is getting this day started right! And on the heels of Clair de lune at that. Loved the weave and will be smiling all the way to the office...and no doubt returning for pick-me ups throughout the day :) Thanks for playing along and offering up some wonderful energy (not to mention poetry!)
