Warm and Fuzzy Morning

My morning is
warm and fuzzy,
soft edges
of dream walking.

A view from
the front window
shows a world
in slow motion.

Children move
with ghost quiet
on their way
to yellow busses.

Diamond dew
drips in sparkling
knitted chains
from budded limbs.

A cardinal chirps
In red relief,
bright color
midst the gray.

Within the fog
the day approaches.
I watch with thanksgiving
and anticipation.

"I watch with thanksgiving and appreciation." So beautiful. The colors of an "ordinary" day. We are so blessed.

smiles...i feel like i was watching out that window with you...our boys catch the bus right out front too..kinda like the misty mornings, feels like a bit of mystery is in the air you know...that cardinal makes a nice contrast too on the grey...

nice anticipation to end on as well...smiles.

sigh:) warm and fuzzy and so beautiful. I wish, just once I could see a cardinal outside my window. It must be stunning against the gray! I also enjoyed the way your described the raindrops on the budded branches.
...another contented sigh:) thank-you

This is lovely. Susie I just attempted to comment on your wonderful Texas Capital photos on another blog. My comments never took because each time this funny words came up that I was meant to copy down ... well they flew by with such rapidity, I never could see them. Liz

beautiful - those ghostly trees. I love fog, love to walk in it... and yes, just a nice capture of a morning

should feel so nice to say that! Can't wait to get there- I need to be on that bus! On a warm and fuzzy morning. It's so fluid the way you've written, like Ella said :) It's like a silent, black n white, picture postcard type movie.

I love the photograph, and the bright spot of colour: the cardinal in the fog.

Love it! Sounds quiet and relaxing (or like my world if I take off my glasses!)
I love foggy mornings, seems to soften the edges of life just a bit. Great little series of vignettes out the window, makes me feel like I'm sitting right next to you watching.

Your words paint such a picture, I feel as though I was there. I have had those mornings long ago and this brings them back to me. Very nice.
