You've written well for such a discouraging subject.
Outstanding. Painful, but outstanding.
oh lord you just ripped my heart out...
sad that we are blind to people and children starving in other parts of the world....nice set ~
So sad. It is horrible when the choices are between bad and bad.
Heavy thoughts Susie, strongely chosen on the theme "famine".
Awful images you paint with these haiku, but ... nevertheless ... well done.
Oh, how does a mother make a choice on which child to feed? That is so heart wrenching! We are so fortunate that we do not have to make that choice ever. You have painted the prompt very well with your haiku.
We step over bones on the way to our excess - Phew, powerful words.
So painful topic...but expressed nicely..
Oh Susie...dont you just want to grab those babies and feed them...saddens my heart bigtime!
The last one paints a powerful picture of indifference...
