Elephants on Strings

The kite wind March
blew in with clouds of fluff
and blue eye sky.
Elephants on strings
floated through spring
accompanied by giggles.
The yellow balloon sun
watched a little boy run
through green grass
waking from a winter nap.
Shadows made puppets
that looked like furry Muppets
as they danced across the field.
It was a time to be free
and dream of what could be
in a world where imagination had no limits.

I just let the little kid in me write this one.
It is just totally for fun. I took a break from serious.

I love this magical world you created with its elephants on strings. Some innovative ideas: a wind named March and balloon sun. Lovely to see rhyme put to good use too.

I love how much fun you had with this. I, too, find Magical Realism to be a wonderfully fun break from the serious stuff. I may try another!
