Her Heart in Metaphors


She hid her heart
in metaphors
his logical mind
found too abstract.
The beauty of romantic expression
lost when he asked for a translation.

My husband gets the meanings but isn't as excited and impressed by them as I am. Guess thats the difference between a poet and a non-poet ;)
