Equine Dreams

Equine dreams,
the valley vibrates
with freedom’s hooves
leaving their exclamation.
No spirit harnessed
to human will
but loosed to follow
the voice of the wind.

You have captured the wildness of horses as they are at heart. A lovely response to the prompt.

I love this, Susie. I can just feel it...the hooves, the wind, the will to be unfettered. Wonderful!

Ha ha. I will read this to my Oberon tomorrow. I think he will give this a triumphant toss of the head. :) Honestly, I can just stand and watch at the fence the horses as they run and romp. My heart soars.

Vivid and straight to the soul of the symbol of the horse, which is so very evocative. Enjoyed it much.

Oh, the magnificently wild heart of the horse! You captured it so beautifully here. We used to live in an equestrian neighborhood; one of my fondest memories was watching a neighbor's daughter riding in the pasture, her hair behind her looking just like her horse's mane, country music blasting from a portable radio set on the fence.

This is wonderful to read. One feels the spirit of the horse, free and galloping.
