Does it rain
rainbows
at Easter,
bright colored
splashes to
decorate eggs?
I should ask
mother duck,
but she
is waddling
between drops
with her ducklings.
I am afraid
to walk
in my yellow galoshes
across green grass
for fear I will
smudge the colors.

I like that idea of 'smudging the colours' - very cute. And the rainbows at Easter.
Jamie
superb wtory telling,
;)
It used to rain rainbows on Easter.
When I was a child with imagination.
Now, it rains rain;
I'm an adult cursed with perception.
Captivating last paragraph! Well written! Vivid imagery, I could picture every line!
