Divide

I divide
myself
thinking
it will make
me whole.

I try to be
everything
to everyone
leaving nothing
for myself.

Brilliant!

To fit in, we divide ourselves so much that we forget the 'Me' in us.

Great imagery with division making whole. It's like a math problem. For life :p

yuk! I hate being in that place and try so hard to stay out of it. I wrote a poem this week about squandering serenity and someone asked me how that would happen. Your poem explains it precisely!

So true! I love everything about this, from the words to the length and universality. Excellent piece!

This reminds me of a poem I wrote called "Hours," check it out on my poetry blog. Would appreciate feedback if you get the chance. Nice poems!
