So sad, but beautifully expressed.

Very appropriate use of the prompt. Alzheimer is an emotionally painful disease for everyone in the family and with friends. Bless you for writing a poem about your mother. Hope your family is given strength and patience.

Such a terribly cruel disease - heartbreaking. Your haiku relates the emotion so well. Very apt for the topic of fleeting.

That's very beautifully put, Susie, and also very sad. It must be heartbreaking to lose that connection.

Ah, Susie, I know this all too well. Am going through it with my mom, although she continues to know all of it. I've written a similar haiku...can't say more than that!
a sad thot.....
i always believe that diseases..almost all..cause much more pain to the relatives than to the patients...
your haiku reflects that...
"watched her forget" is a very painful line....
Heartbreaking... very poignant use of theme and definitely the only thought that you could use for the word. *hugs*
